Chef Simon Mckenzie is popping up in Brighton for the first Meanwhile Monday

I'm excited to be invited by BITE Sussex to open their new programme of monthly 'Meanwhile Monday' pop-up suppers.

Each month, chefs will be taking over the open kitchen at Meanwhile for a one-off evening showcasing unique styles of cooking and ingredients. As a showcase, the events are all priced at an astoundingly pocket-friendly £35 per head. 

For my supper on Monday 3 April, I’m bringing five of my most popular bowl-food dishes to the table, highlighting the use of some of my favourite ingredients married with my favourite styles of cooking.

Butternut Squash
Sage, Ricotta & Pomegranite

Tempura Hake
Yuzu Cous Cous, Coriander Yogurt

Roast Cauliflower
Cheese, Apple & Walnuts

Mushroom Pearl Barley
Glazed Pigs Cheek,
Spring Onions & Coriander

Salt Peanut Parfait
Chocolate & Roast Banana

On the night, you can also buy wines by the glass or bottle from Meanwhile’s excellent list of natural and biodynamic wines. WIth advance notice I can accommodate both vegetarians and gluten-free diners.

As you can imagine at £35 per person tickets are very limited so I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later via Meanwhile’s website.
